Conceptual design is the very first phase of a design where drawings are the primary focus, which are comprised of simple plans and sections. These simple drawings should be able to lend themselves easily to more specific sets of plans.
Detailed working drawings and specifications, which the contractor will use to establish actual construction costs and build the project.
Floor plans show rooms in the correct size and shape. Fixtures and furniture are detailed to a level where a manufacturer can produce a prototype based on them. A listing of major materials, room finishes and special equipment is developed.
