SHEHNAZ ESMAIL AHMADPROFILEMy name is Shehnaz, and I shall be 34 years of age on the 25th of May 2010. I was born and brought up in Beira, Mozambique. I speak, read and write the Portuguese language. I immigrated to South Africa on the 28th of July 1997.When I arrived in the country, I could hardly speak a word of English. Consequently, during my first year in South Africa, I could not find a job. I started working as a cashier at the Bertrams Spar, then at Checkers Eastgate (now Micah warehouse), I had 2 years experience in retailing and worked my way to office assistant, telesales, secretary, personal assistant, accounts clerk, accountant’s assistant, debtors clerk and credit controller. During the previous 8 years of my career I worked in finance/ accounts. On the 28th of February 2009 I once again found myself unemployed. I had been looking for a permanent job, but could not find one. Even with my Matric certificate and all my diplomas, I couldn’t find a job. I was finally able to do some temp work as a Debtors Clerk for 2 and a half months. During the period from the 16th of March 2009 through to the 29th of May 2009, I went to about 30 job interviews, which were all unsuccessful. One day, my District Manager from Avon suggested I should take my AVON SALES LEADERSHIP more seriously and she would assist me to get to the next level, and that this route would definitely pay my bills.I could not take her seriously, as selling AVON part-time would only bring in some spare cash. I used to spend it all, and had never calculated what I in fact earned doing this part-time.One day we met, and she assisted me in drawing up a business plan. I started off with 35 people, whom I had recruited when I still had my full time job. When I became unemployed, I started taking the AVON business very seriously.I went from being an AVON UNIT SALES LEADER to an ADVANCED UNIT SALES LEADER, and am currently the EXECUTIVE UNIT SALES LEADER with close to 200 people in my team, of which 10 are SALES LEADERS at different levels.Meanwhile I came across the opportunity to become a BUSINESS NETWORK franchisee. I now own the rights of THE EDENVALE BUSINESS NETWORK, having signed the contract on the 16th of July 2009.From here, I was able to come across many business opportunities by attending network meetings.I had the opportunity to market my AVON business to others, while they had the opportunity to market their business to me. Through the above, I joined HERBAL LIFE.Meanwhile I came across many other businesses, among others ANGEL and CAZABELLA.At this stage I am involved in marketing, selling and recruiting for the following businesses:•AVON – EXECUTIVE UNIT SALES LEADER•ANGEL – MICRO FRANCHISER•CAZABELLA – EMBASSADOR•HERBAL LIFE - DISTRIBUTORI market and sell the following: •SHZEN•TUPPERWAREI am FRANCHISEE of THE EDENVALE BUSINESS NETWORK, through which I run network meetings once a month.Currently, I am working toward SENIOR EXECUTIVE SALES LEADER in AVON.
